Doris Hamill and James Van Laak are both available to give lectures and seminars on subjects associated with The Challenge of Why. Hamill's lectures reflect the same analytical approach used in the book. They concentrate on knitting together and supporting the ideas in the work. Hour-length lectures do not attempt to encompass the full scope of the book. The client should specify the themes to be emphasized. Hamill's lectures are discounted 15% for college and university audiences. Van Laak brings a different perspective on Hamill's work, one that emphasizes the broad sweep of the work with a humanistic implications. He speaks from reflections on the work in the context of daily life. He is also available to expand upon the thoughts sketched in the Afterword and welcomes interactive forums that seek to develop its themes. Hamill and Van Laak jointly present one- and two-day seminars. They alternate Hamill's analytical approach and Van Laak's humanistic emphasis. Two day forums include audience participation in discussion of the subject matter. All lectures and seminars include book sales and signings. |
