Civil Discourse Standards

This is a private, on-line community, not a public forum.  We enforce the following policy of civil discourse.  Comments and questions must be
Relevant to the subject matter in The Challenge of Why.  (Note: The author will not answer questions about herself.)
Substantive.  Empty praise and criticism will be removed.
Polite.  Criticize arguments, not people.  Insults and profanity will not be tolerated.

To keep the conversation fresh for new readers, comments will periodically be moved to an archive area where they can be searched using the search tool.  Particularly thoughtful comments and important questions that add value to the text will be retained in the active forum area.
